Terms and Conditions

These are our terms and conditions for the use of our website north-star-nurture.sumupstore.com and the purchase of products through the website. If you have any queries about these terms, please contact us using the contact form.They will apply to the purchase of the services by you (the Customer or you).  These are the terms on which we sell all Services to you. By ordering any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The terms and conditions here in together with any notices or conditions on other areas of this website will all together govern use by customers of this website. You should note that North Star Nurture may at any time make changes to or remove part of this website without any liability to customers for such changes. North Star Nurture reserves the right to change these terms and conditions in the future without specifically notifying customers and continued use of the website or placing of orders after such changes shall be deemed to be acknowledgement and acceptance thereof.

When you as a customer place an order via this website, you warrant by placing the order that:

  • You are not a minor or otherwise legally incapable of entering into a binding contract.

  • The personal details which you give us on registration are fully complete and accurate.

  • You are not using a false name or the name of any other person or body which you are not authorised to use.

Disclaimer 

I am a certified Nurture Neuroscience Practitioner. I am fully insured by Westminster insurance. Medical, lactation and psychological care is out of my scope and I will refer you to appropriate practitioners where applicable after my screening process in consultation. I will never work outside of this scope. Please consult your doctor or health care provider if you have any concerns. It is also your responsibility to practice safe sleep within safe sleep guidelines. I will provide evidence based resources for all safe sleep information. It is your own choice on what you do with this information after personal risk assessment. I advocate for safe sleep and adhere to guidelines. 

If a parent or caregiver were to disclose information to me concerning ‘Child Protection’, I would inform them that I must seek the appropriate help for that child. 

Online infant sleep consultations will take place on Google Meet. A link will be sent prior to consult.

Guarantees

I will never guarantee your child will be sleeping through the night after ‘x’ amount of days or for a particular outcome after consulting with me. My approach is holistic, and I emphasise that every child is unique. Different methods and timeframes will work for different children, and I promise to never advise you to use any form of sleep training. I will provide you with evidence-based and developmentally and age-appropriate information that aligns with nurtured parenting, always.I will always advocate that you do what is in the best interest of your child, and there will be no surprises with sleep training methods at any stage.

Equality and non-discriminatory practice 

My Mummy and Me circle classes are a safe space, and a place safe from judgement. For sleep consultancy, contact me prior to consultation, please make this clear at the beginning of the consultation if there is anything you would like me to take into consideration or be made aware of. I will not knowingly discriminate against anyone based off their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion etc. I will also not discriminate against anyone's parenting style. If you decide sleep training is the route you want to go down, this is entirely your choice. 

Services

The description of the Services is as set out in my website or other form of advertisement .In the case of Services made to your special requirements, it is your responsibility to ensure that any information or specification you provide is accurate.All Services are subject to availability. We can make changes to the Services which are necessary to comply with any applicable law or safety requirement. We will notify you of these changes.

Placement of an order

When you place your order you are doing so in acceptance of these terms and conditions and it is important that you have read them before you go ahead and order.

Acceptance of an order

As we can accept your order and make a legally enforceable agreement without further reference to you, you must read these Terms and Conditions to make sure that they contain all that you want and nothing that you are not happy with. If you are not sure about anything, just phone us on 07480359095. Please read these terms and conditions prior to our consultation or the attendance of a Mummy and Me circle class. When an order is placed you will get an order confirmation sent to the email address you provided during checkout.

Liability

We try to have the information on this website as accurate as possible but we make no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding its accuracy. We also do not make any warranties regarding any matters relating to the use of this website and it is a matter for you to ensure that your own equipment is protected from viruses or other external factors.

Fees and Payment

The fees for my Services are set out in my price list in my online store on Sum up website, current at the date of the Order or such other price as we may agree in writing. Payment for Services must be made by submitting your credit or debit card details with your Order and we can take payment immediately. There is the option for Paypal also on the sum up store.

Withdrawal and Cancellation

You can cancel your infant sleep consultation up to 48 hours before. For re-scheduling, there is no charge and we can make an appointment at another suitable time. If cancelling 24 hours before the appointment, I will issue a 50% refund. If I need to cancel the appointment regrettably, we will find another appointment time that suits you at no extra cost. If after reading your completed intake form, I feel that my services will not be of benefit to you and your child, I will write to you and explain and give you a full refund. 

For Mummy and Me circle classes, you must tell me no later than 14 calendar days from the day the booking was made to receive a full refund if you change your mind. After the 14 days, North Star Nurture is under no obligation to refund or transfer your payment. However, where possible, I may allow a transfer to the next term or to another person if any on the waiting list or sourced yourself. 

Privacy

Your privacy is critical to us. We respect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation with regard to your personal information. These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside, and are in addition to our policies, including our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy which can be found Our privacy policies can be found on the Privacy Policy page of my website.For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

  • 'Data Protection Laws' means any applicable law relating to the processing of Personal Data, including, but not limited to the GDPR.

  • 'GDPR' means the UK General Data Protection Regulation.

  • 'Data Controller', 'Personal Data' and 'Processing' shall have the same meaning as in the GDPR.

We are a Data Controller of the Personal Data we Process in providing the Services and Goods to you. Where you supply Personal Data to us so we can provide Services and Goods to you, and we Process that Personal Data in the course of providing the Services and Goods to you, we will comply with our obligations imposed by the Data Protection Laws:

  • before or at the time of collecting Personal Data, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected;

  • we will only Process Personal Data for the purposes identified;

  • we will respect your rights in relation to your Personal Data; and

  • we will implement technical and organisational measures to ensure your Personal Data is secure.

Circumstances Beyond the Control of Either Party

In the event of any failure by a party because of something beyond its reasonable control. The party will advise the other party as soon as reasonably practicable; and the party's obligations will be suspended so far as is reasonable, provided that that party will act reasonably, and the party will not be liable for any failure which it could not reasonably avoid, but this will not affect the Customer's above rights relating to delivery and the right to cancel.

North Star Nurture provides you with services and is the data controller of the personal data that you provide when you order goods.

We share your Personal Information with third parties to allow us to use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use SumUp to power our online store. We may share information with service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations. Our contracts dictate that these service providers only use your information in connection with the services they perform for us and not for their own or any additional benefit.

Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for as long as necessary to carry out our services to you or for as long as we are required by relevant laws. After this period, your personal data will be deleted.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
